According to CoinMeta, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, predicts that the privacy-focused blockchain project Midnight will ultimately surpass Zcash. He believes this will be due to the powerful combination of privacy technology, artificial intelligence, cross-chain functionality, and Cardano infrastructure. Hoskinson stated that Midnight will feature selective disclosure, private proxies, the ability to provide a DEFI kernel for all major chains, as well as 24/7 online availability, combined with the “magic” of Leios. He also mentioned that the current market value of Midnight is $437 million, ranking it 122nd, while Zcash has a market value of $26.4 billion, firmly within the top ten. The mainnet of Midnight was launched in March as a dedicated Layer-1 collaboration chain that operates in parallel with Cardano, independently processing transactions and maintaining its own ledger. In a live broadcast on April 14th, Hoskinson called Midnight one of the most exciting projects currently in Input Output.
