U.S.-Iran negotiations stall, U.S. Treasury yields rise

According to CoinMeta, as peace talks between the United States and Iran have stalled, oil prices have risen during the day, and yields on U.S. Treasury bonds have increased, currently approaching multi-year highs, although they are still slightly below that level. Peace talks representatives are urging Iran to make concessions on its nuclear program in order to facilitate the resumption of ceasefire negotiations with the United States. Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump rejected the ceasefire proposal put forward by Iran. According to tradeweb data, the yield on two-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose by 4.4 basis points to 4.907%, the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds rose by 2.8 basis points to 5.208%, and the yield on 30-year Treasury bonds rose by 1.7 basis points to 5.518%.
