2026-09-28 17:02:04
According to CoinMeta, the issuance of 53 tokens by Robinhood is alleged to be linked to a $18.43 million fraud incident. Analyst Wazz pointed out that these token issuances sparked scrutiny of Robinhood's newly launched blockchain. Although no improper conduct by Robinhood was proven, and it was not shown that the company created these tokens, Wazz associated four other issuances with the same private key. This operation utilized 70 to 200 wallets, which acquired over 70% of the available supply in the early transactions. Wazz also mentioned that the largest withdrawal amount generated by Crumbs was approximately $3.12 million. Robinhood described its chain as a permissionless layer-two network based on Ethereum, which officially went live on July 1st.
