According to CoinMeta, Tether has assisted in freezing approximately $550 million in USDT related to Iran's central bank and the Iranian sanctions network this year. In April, Tether helped the U.S. government freeze over $344 million in USDT from two addresses. In July, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned four Tron addresses, and over $130 million in USDT was frozen from those four wallets. Tether currently collaborates with more than 340 law enforcement agencies in 67 countries, having assisted in freezing assets totaling over $4.9 billion, of which over $240 million is related to U.S. authorities.
