Wintermute: BTC closes above the 50-week moving average for the first time on the weekly chart
2026-09-28 22:11:02
According to CoinMeta, Wintermute stated in the latest market update that BTC has closed above the 50-week moving average for the first time since early November last year. The key this week is whether it can hold above the previous range of $82,500; if the weekly chart closes below that level again, the validity of this breakout will be questioned. At the same time, Wintermute pointed out that the breadth of the altcoin market has expanded significantly, and hopes that the dominance of BTC will also recover during the next round of gains. Historically, rebounds led by altcoins but not confirmed by BTC have often turned into sideways movements or declines.
