According to CoinMeta, bank payment infrastructure providers Volante Technologies and Circle have announced a strategic partnership to integrate USDC-related payment and settlement processes into Volante's banking payment platform. This allows financial institutions to evaluate the use of stablecoins within their existing payment infrastructure without the need to build separate digital asset systems. The supported processes include USDC minting and redemption, recipient wallet registration, fund transfers, and payments between wallets. Volante customers include 4 of the world's top five corporate banks and 7 of the top ten banks in the United States. Both parties stated that this collaboration aims to facilitate the transition of banks from the experimental stage of using stablecoins to actual payment and settlement applications.
