Hassett: External factors may hinder the U.S. goal of 3% economic growth
2026-09-29 02:56:08
According to CoinMeta, Hasset stated that external factors could affect the Trump administration's goal of achieving 3% economic growth. Although the U.S. economy is expected to maintain strong growth, Hasset pointed out at an event of the New York Economic Club that driven by improvements in productivity and wage increases, the economic growth rate "should be closer to 4% rather than 3%." He mentioned that the boom in artificial intelligence investment has supported growth, but factors such as slower labor force growth and a weak real estate market still pose economic pressures. In addition, the goal of reducing the fiscal deficit to 3% of GDP may also be affected by "force majeure" factors. Regarding the rise in U.S. Treasury yields, Hasset said that this reflects a more attractive investment environment.
