According to CoinMeta, the team behind the privacy coin Monero has announced the release of version beta of their Stressnet software in preparation for the upcoming major privacy upgrade tests. The team is calling on community members to continue to participate in the Stressnet tests and to report any issues they encounter. This release serves as a precursor to the third edition of Monero, which is expected to go live on October 5th. The new version FCMP represents a significant change in the Monero transaction privacy architecture, allowing for the input of proofs that expenditures originate from a qualified set of outputs across the entire blockchain without the need to identify specific outputs, thereby effectively enhancing the anonymity of transactions. This version is also expected to enable additional features, including a more secure transaction chain and an optional outgoing view key.
