Morgan Stanley: Expect a market rebound after the midterms
2026-10-26 19:19:29
According to CoinMeta, Michael Wilson from Morgan Stanley expects that the current stock market adjustment will end as major risks such as the U.S. mid-term elections are resolved. The target for the S&P 500 index is a short-term range of 7,100–7,200 points, with a year-end benchmark of 8,000 points. Wilson pointed out that there are three catalysts for a market rebound: concerns about artificial intelligence financing, the mid-term elections, and tightening financial conditions. He emphasized that liquidity remains the biggest risk in the near term, but potential policy changes by the Federal Reserve could trigger a market rebound. Morgan Stanley also noted that strong stock market returns of 6 to 12 months are usually seen following mid-term elections.
