Jump Crypto: The bounty report for the Firedancer vulnerability requires the destruction of 1 SOL.
2026-10-27 16:08:37
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coindesk, the Solana verification client developed by Jump Crypto announced that for each vulnerability bounty report submitted by security researchers, they must permanently destroy 1 SOL (approximately $100). This fee is non-refundable, even if the report is invalid, duplicate, or not within the scope of the rewards. Previously, during a one-month security audit competition organized by Firedancer with a prize pool of $1 million, a total of 809 reports were received from 162 researchers, and 127 independent security issues were identified. Nearly half of the valid reports were duplicates. The team believes that almost all reports were assisted in discovery or writing by AI, and the large number of submissions led to a backlog in manual reviews.
