U.S. crypto support lags behind financial innovation by 22 percentage points
2026-10-27 18:04:27
CoinMeta data: A new Ipsos survey found that Americans' support for financial innovation is significantly higher than their support for specific policies regarding cryptocurrencies. 35% of respondents hope that political candidates will support the development of fintech in the United States, whereas when the question explicitly mentioned blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance, only 13% expressed the same view. The survey indicates that although familiarity with cryptocurrencies and trust in decentralized platforms are still low, dissatisfaction with traditional financial services is growing. The survey also found that only 19% of people believe that the existing U.S. financial system is secure, while 63% think it needs to be upgraded to address emerging threats.
