According to CoinMeta, Coinbase has announced that on October 30, 2026, it will automatically convert 14 types of restricted tokens held by retail users in the European Economic Area that do not comply with the regulatory requirements of MiCA. The assets involved include USDT, PYUSD, USD1, DAI, PAX, GUSD, GYEN, BUST, UST, RAI, PAXG, MUSD, USDS, and TGBP. Coinbase has suspended trading of these tokens for retail users in the European Economic Area, and users must transfer them to an external wallet before the deadline; otherwise, any remaining balances will be converted into USDC or other supported crypto assets or fiat currencies at market prices.
