2026-10-28 07:31:31
According to CoinMeta, Polymarket has announced that it will stop allowing users in Michigan to open new sports betting positions. Previously, Kalshi, Robinhood, and Coinbase in this state had already been subject to restrictions. Kalshi was forced to stop providing sports event contracts due to a preliminary court ban, and violators could face a fine of $500,000 per day. Robinhood and Coinbase agreed to stop opening new positions and close existing ones on October 9th and 10th, respectively. Michigan's Attorney General Nessel stated that all sports betting activities must comply with state laws.
