CITIC Securities: The possibility of the Fed's monetary policy being influenced by politics is greater
2026-10-28 08:28:21
According to CoinMeta, CITIC Securities released a research report stating that the Federal Reserve's monetary policy is more likely to be influenced by politics than by economics. The report points out that the rapid development of AI has driven the superficial rapid growth of the U.S. economy, but different economic sectors have performed differently, with production and financing being relatively strong, while employment and households have been weaker, indicating a mixed reality. After the mid-term elections, market uncertainty may be beneficial to risk assets in the short term, but political polarization could create new disruptions. In terms of asset allocation, under the baseline scenario of "continued warmth," U.S. stocks, gold, and A-shares are expected to perform well, while Treasury bonds lag behind. In the "cold spread" scenario, U.S. Treasuries, gold, and A-shares are expected to perform better. Gold is viewed positively in various scenarios.
