According to CoinMeta, the South Korean stock market rose due to SK Hynix reporting record-breaking revenue. SK Hynix announced that its revenue reached 104.615 trillion Korean won (about 78.8 billion US dollars), marking the first time its quarterly revenue has exceeded 100 trillion Korean won. As a result, the KOSPI index opened up 2.2% higher. In addition, SK Hynix's operating profit set a record of 83.3 trillion Korean won, surpassing the total for 2024 and 2025 combined. Its shares listed on NASDAQ rose 3% in after-hours trading.
