According to CoinMeta, the Japanese yen stablecoin jpyc has celebrated its first anniversary, with a cumulative issuance of over 12 billion yen, a circulating amount of about 3 billion yen, and more than 28,000 accounts. Currently, jpyc has been integrated with over 150 physical stores and e-commerce merchants, covering Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, and Kaia blockchains. The Unifi and AU Pay wallets under Line Next already support jpyc. Sony Bank has reached a basic consensus on business cooperation, and Maruhono Holdings plans to use jpyc to pay fees to approximately 2,300 partner companies.
