According to CoinMeta, as reported by Israeli newspapers today, a senior U.S. diplomat stated that military, intelligence, and diplomatic cooperation between the United States and Israel will continue to advance, unaffected by the results of the Israeli elections, the progress of forming a new government, or the U.S. mid-term elections. The diplomat mentioned that if a decision is made to strike Iran again, it will be based on professional judgment and the common interests of both countries. The goals include completely eliminating Iran's military nuclear program and removing the military threat it poses to the Strait of Hormuz and neighboring countries. Regarding political arrangements, the diplomat said that the relevant strategic objectives of the U.S. side have not changed. The report also noted that the U.S. side prefers to promote the formation of a broad coalition government in Israel that does not include extremists, and these issues were discussed during U.S.-Israeli talks early Wednesday local time. It is reported that the counting of votes in the Israeli elections is nearing its end, but neither of the two major camps can obtain a stable majority on their own, so a coalition government remains a possible option. Israel has previously assured the United States and other international partners that the formation of a new government will not hinder regional diplomatic processes.
