CoinMeta data: A latest survey shows that 22% of American adults indicate they have owned or used cryptocurrencies, which is an increase from 18% in 2025. However, the proportion of those who have used cryptocurrencies in the past 12 months remains unchanged at 13%. The survey also found that the proportion of men using cryptocurrencies is twice that of women, at 18% and 8% respectively. In addition, only 19% of Americans consider the traditional financial system to be secure, while 63% believe it needs to be upgraded to address threats such as cybercrime and artificial intelligence. A total of 1,545 adults were surveyed, with a margin of error of ±2.8%.
