According to CoinMeta, Bessent stated that although the yield on some debts related to AI has risen to double digits, the new cloud service providers account for a limited portion of the entire AI industry, and the financing risks do not currently constitute a major issue. Relevant financing transactions are still ongoing, and companies such as Meta have also begun to raise funds by issuing stocks. He also pointed out that future interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve may not necessarily be a policy mistake, and suggested maintaining an open attitude to assess whether the energy shock is merely temporarily driving up inflation. At the same time, Bessent expects that after the conflict between the United States and Iran ends, global oil supply will tend to become more abundant, which should help to ease inflation and reduce borrowing costs.
