According to CoinMeta, on October 29th, Cailian News reported that following the suspension of new project approvals in Texas, USA, due to the assessment of grid risks, banks are delaying the sale of a $15 billion loan that was intended to fund the issuance of bonds for data centers related to Anthropic PBC. This delay in bond issuance comes at a time when Anthropic is making significant investments in computing infrastructure ahead of its large-scale initial public offering (IPO). As a result, banks will be forced to hold this debt on their balance sheets for a longer period than originally planned. The lenders, led by Morgan Stanley, have raised approximately $15 billion to fund the construction of a data center near Waco, Texas, at Hubbard. Banks had hoped to sell $5 billion to $7 billion to high-yield bond investors in September to refinance part of the loan. Now, the sale may be carried out in installments over the next year. The debt package includes a one-year loan of $14.2 billion and a five-year revolving credit line of $1.4 billion, and the lenders are seeking to refinance part of the loan through high-yield bond investors.
