According to CoinMeta, Yu Xiaohui, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, recently presided over a symposium to accelerate the construction and development of the new generation of communication networks. The meeting aimed to hear about the progress of related work and to discuss mechanisms for ensuring resource availability and fiscal and financial support measures. It was emphasized that it is necessary to seize the opportunities presented by new-generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, to coordinate the construction of basic networks, space networks, international networks, and integrated networks, and to comprehensively enhance the capabilities in terms of intelligence, security resilience, and green, low-carbon practices. Efforts should be made to strengthen innovation-driven development and application-demand-led approaches, with a focus on accelerating the construction of a new generation of communication networks that are comprehensive in coverage and leading in performance. It is also important to improve planning and policy coordination, establish and improve coordination mechanisms, and integrate support for the construction of new-generation communication networks into relevant plans, policies, and key tasks. Issues related to land use, electricity supply, pipelines, corridors, and frequency allocation need to be addressed collectively. Additionally, investment mechanisms should be improved, and policies regarding project support, assessment incentives, and fiscal and financial aspects should be optimized to encourage enterprises to increase their investments and to attract more social capital to participate, thereby jointly promoting the implementation of various key tasks related to the new generation of communication networks.
