On Thursday, Atoire announced the completion of a $9.5 million seed round of financing, with investors including a16z, Speedrun, Night Capital, and Lightspeed Ventures's Jeremy Liew. The company focuses on providing consumers with high-end brand products made from the same materials, produced in the same factories at lower prices.

Enter the luxury goods supply chain at a low price

Atoire was founded by serial entrepreneur Redouane Ramdani. He stated that the company does not sell simple imitations, but products made from the same materials, using the same craftsmanship, and coming from the same factories. Italian leather handbags on the platform are priced at just a few hundred dollars, while similar high-end brands often cost thousands of dollars.

Ramdani believes that young consumers are turning to cheaper products that still offer a similar appearance and quality. He also positions Atoire as slow fashion, rather than fast fashion.

AI Introducing Selected Products and Production

Ramdani says that AI is used to analyze fashion trends, test color combinations, and predict changes in demand. The system also determines whether certain materials may be in short supply, so that factories can stock up in advance.

On the consumer side, the Atoire website provides a AI assistant that can generate fashion recommendations based on the users' favorite characters or styles. The company is also observing the traffic growth from platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Funds will be invested in logistics and proprietary brands.

Atoire indicates that the company's sales last year were approximately 5 million US dollars, and this year's annualized revenue is expected to exceed 55 million US dollars. The current team has already collaborated with more than 40 factories around the world.

This round of financing will be used for logistics construction, AI tool development, and production support. The company also plans to launch its own clothing line and help creators and internet celebrities launch their personal brands more quickly.
