Crusoe reportedly completed a new round of financing, raising $3 billion, with the post-investment valuation rising to $30 billion. The company initially started with cryptocurrency mining and later shifted to AI infrastructure and cloud services, with clients including Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI.
This round of financing was co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with Mubadala Capital also participating. Mubadala Capital is an asset management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala.
Business Expansion
- Crusoe has also recently signed a five-year cloud service contract worth $13 billion with the quantitative trading company Jane Street.
- The company provided this customer with GPU and AI infrastructure.
- Last October, Crusoe raised $1.38 billion in financing with a valuation of $10 billion.
Listing Expectations
Crusoe was established in 2018, initially engaging in cryptocurrency mining operations powered by burning natural gas. Subsequently, the company gradually shifted to building ultra-large-scale data center complexes for clients such as Oracle and OpenAI.
As reported last month by Axios, Crusoe recently met with investment banks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to discuss the possibility of advancing IPO in the short term.
