As of September 5th, data over a 7-day period shows that the weekly sales volume in the NFT market has risen to 75.54 million US dollars, an increase of 55.6% compared to the previous week. However, the number of transactions during the same period has decreased to 650,300, representing a 14.77% decline from the previous week. This surge in volume seems to be more due to an increase in the average transaction amount rather than a general recovery in the frequency of transactions.
Single transaction amount increases
Based on the data, the average transaction amount for NFT has increased from about $64 in the previous week to about $116. The number of buyer addresses has grown by 20.38% to 273,700, and the number of seller addresses has increased by 18.09% to 291,300. However, these statistics are based on on on-chain addresses and may not necessarily correspond to a simultaneous increase in the actual number of users.
BNB Chain Surpasses Ethereum

Judging from the performance on the public chain, BNB Chain has become the biggest variable of the week. On this chain, NFT, the organic sales volume reached 32.75 million US dollars, a weekly increase of 1042%, and it rose to the top with an extremely low volume of wash trading. The increase did not come from a single hit project but was distributed across the transactions on the entire chain.
During the same period, Ethereum's NFT sales volume dropped to 18.94 million US dollars, a decrease of 14.23% from the previous week, and its ranking fell to second place. Although the number of buyer addresses increased by 21.13% to 40,100, the transaction volume did not increase accordingly, reflecting that the average size of each transaction was relatively small. If wash trading transactions are included, Ethereum's total transaction volume was approximately 19.68 million US dollars.
Polygon The scale of reselling is relatively high.
Polygon follows behind them, with organic sales amounting to 7.29 million US dollars, representing a growth of 6.12%. However, the volume of wash trading on this chain reached 18.73 million US dollars, which is significantly higher than the organic transactions. Bitcoin, Base, and Solana also made it into the top six. Among them, Bitcoin NFT's sales volume dropped to 5.87 million US dollars, Base's organic sales increased to 4.23 million US dollars, and Solana amounted to 1.91 million US dollars.
Top-tier items and large-value transactions
In terms of the series, Courtyard on Polygon continues to rank first, with weekly sales of 6.32 million US dollars, accounting for about 8.4% of the global NFT transactions. Beezie on Base comes in second with 2.64 million US dollars, but there are only 9 buyer addresses, indicating a high concentration of transactions. Argonauts on Ethereum is third with 2.07 million US dollars, although sales have significantly declined compared to the previous week.
In terms of individual transactions, the largest transaction this week came from the Bitcoin ecosystem, amounting to $REWD BRC -20 NFT, with a transaction price of 10 BTC, which is approximately 796,900 US dollars. Another significant transaction was $X@ AI BRC -20 NFT, with a transaction price of about 394,300 US dollars. CryptoPunks #1839 ranked third with 161.5 ETH, or about 394,300 US dollars.
Additional information:The list also includes entries such as Algebra Positions NFT - V2, which represent the liquidity positions of decentralized exchanges. Although these assets are categorized as NFT sales, their economic properties are different from those of avatar collectibles. Therefore, this week's total transaction volume actually combines various types of NFT assets.
