New York, September 28th / PRNewswire / -- Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq ticker: NMRK) ("Newmark" or "the Company") announced the appointment of Mike Whitaker as the Chief Information Officer of the Newmark Group. Mike Whitaker will report to the Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick to advance the company's technology, data, and information strategies. He will also join the company's Executive Committee.
In this role, Whitaker will provide strategic oversight over the technical, data, and information-related initiatives of Newmark's various businesses, helping to align the company's technology strategy with its long-term growth objectives and operational priorities. Sridhar Potineni, the Chief Information Officer, along with the technical leadership team, will report to Whitaker.

Whitaker also serves as the Group Chief Information Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald, and has previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer. He joined the company in 2024 from Citi and has worked there for 15 years, holding various senior technical leadership roles before ultimately becoming the head of operations and technology, and becoming a member of the company's executive management team. Before joining Citi, Whitaker held senior technical leadership positions at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital, responsible for global fixed income, global equity and principal brokerage business, e-commerce, as well as algorithm trading technology functions.
