IT News on September 30th: Technology media Wccftech published a blog post yesterday (September 29th), reporting that according to channel information, the production quota for AMD's sixth-generation Ryzen (EPYC) server processors for the year 2027 has been sold out, and currently AMD has begun accepting orders for production in 2028.

IT Home reported yesterday that the sixth-generation EPYC 9006 (codenamed Venice) server processors offer a total of 31 models, covering products with 8 to 256 cores, and are priced ranging from $700 to $14,904 (Note from IT Home: The current exchange rate is approximately 4,705 yuan to 100,000 yuan), with an average selling price of $7,691 (approximately 51,667 yuan at the current exchange rate).
Among them, the flagship model EPYC 9996 is equipped with 256 Zen cores, making it one of the single-path x86 server processors with the highest number of cores currently available, at AMD.
The EPYC 9006 series processors adopt the Zen 6 and Zen 6c architectures, and are divided into two platforms: SP7 and SP8. They cover a variety of scenarios such as cloud computing, enterprise servers, AI host nodes, and HPC.
Among them, SP7 is aimed at high-end data centers and supports 16 channels. DDR5 memory, MRDIMM and RDIMM, with a maximum support of DDR5-12800. It provides 96 PCIe 6.0 channels, and the default power consumption range is from 400W to 600W.
Morgan Stanley expects that by 2027, the shipment volume of Venice may reach 6.75 million units, and in 2026 it was about 1.25 million units. Based on the assumption of 31 SKU units with an average selling price of $7,691 (approximately 51,667 yuan at current exchange rates), the corresponding revenue is estimated to be nearly $51 billion (about 342.611 billion yuan at current exchange rates).
