A NASDAQ-listed company with a market value of approximately $2.4 million, KIDZ AI, stated that it has sent an inquiry to Tesla for the purchase of 500 Robotaxi, and plans to advance its "autonomous fleet operation strategy." The article mentions that the company has previously turned to popular sectors such as cryptocurrency, AI, and robotics on multiple occasions, but its stock price has still declined significantly.

A NASDAQ-listed company with a market value of about $2.4 million stated that it wants to buy 500 Tesla cars. Robotaxi KIDZ AI (formerly an online programming school for children) announced today that it has sent a "purchase inquiry" for this batch of vehicles to Tesla and plans to advance a "self-driving fleet operation strategy."

If this name sounds unfamiliar, then the tactic should be familiar. Tesla’s Robotaxi is becoming the Bitcoin treasury of those failed micro-cap stocks in 2025: attaching a trendy term to a dying company in an attempt to boost its stock price.

A continuously transforming children's programming school

KIDZ AI was formerly known as Classover Holdings. It once provided online courses to students of K-12 and merged and went public through SPAC in 2025.

There has been no improvement in this education business. According to the company's performance for the second quarter of 2026, service revenue decreased by 34% year-on-year to $480,000, with a quarterly loss of $2.5 million. In other words, for every $1 in revenue the company earns, it incurs a loss of over $5.

So it began to transform frequently.

In June 2025, Classover announced that it had reached a convertible note agreement with Solana Growth Ventures worth up to $500 million, with a maximum of 80% of the funds to be used for purchasing SOL tokens. This is a textbook example of how to manage an encrypted treasury. In the end, only the initial $11 million was actually financed.

A year later, in June 2026, the company renamed itself KIDZ AI and announced that it would abandon Solana in favor of shifting to the Hyperliquid ecosystem and a "stablecoin strategy for sustainable growth." In the same month, the company also announced its entry into the GPU cloud and AI data center sectors. Subsequently, it announced a $44.6 million, 60-month GPU computing power deal, a stake in a data center in Cambodia, a "KIDZBot" robotics financing, and now it has also added a Tesla Robotaxi车队 to its portfolio.

In just about 15 months, it has managed to tap into four popular sectors: cryptocurrency, AI computing power, robotics, and autonomous driving.

The stock price has fallen by 99.97% in one year.

The market didn't buy into it, including today's Robotaxi news. After the announcement was released, the KIDZ stock price rose by about 10% during pre-market trading, but then fell by about 6% after the market opened. The so-called boost was nothing more than that.

Looking at the long-term trend, the situation is even worse. Over the past year, the stock price of KIDZ has fallen by approximately 99.97%, and the company's market value is now around 2 million US dollars.

In order to maintain its NASDAQ listing qualification, the company conducted a 1:10 reverse stock split in June and another 1:15 reverse stock split in August. Together, these two splits amounted to approximately a 1:150 reduction. Both documents mentioned NASDAQ's minimum purchase price requirement of $1 per share.

When you put Robotaxi orders and these numbers together, it becomes even more apparent. Tesla has not yet announced the price of Cybercab, but even if we calculate according to Musk's own goal of “below $30,000”, 500 units would cost about $15 million. This is approximately 6 times the company's total market value. As of the end of June, KIDZ AI disclosed cash and restricted cash amounting to $8.88 million.

To be fair, the company has also acknowledged this in its own press release. The inquiry “does not constitute a binding order,” and the related plans are still in the “initial planning, evaluation, and partner exploration stage.” KIDZ AI “may decide not to proceed further.” In other words, this is a press release, not a purchase order.

We've already seen the outcome of betting on Musk Robotaxi.

Earlier this month, during Tesla's rather underwhelming launch event, a form intended for Cybercab team buyers began to circulate. Now, anyone can claim that they "submitted something to Tesla."

However, companies that bet on Musk's autonomous driving story do not have a good track record in the past. The Dutch Tesla rental company MisterGreen once built a fleet of over 4,000 Tesla cars based on Musk's claims that these cars would be "appreciating assets" and could generate Robotaxi in revenue. As a result, when Tesla cut prices, it depressed the resale value of these cars, and Robotaxi the promised revenue never materialized. MisterGreen In the end, the company went bankrupt, and bondholders also suffered losses.

However, Tesla's own Robotaxi service scale is still very limited to this day. The size of its active fleet in Austin remains extremely limited, not much different from when it was launched in June 2025; meanwhile, Waymo operates around 4,000 autonomous vehicles.

Last year, I wrote about "zombie transformation": companies whose core businesses have shrunk or failed announce that they hold Bitcoin reserves in order to boost their stock prices. The chairman of Semler Scientific even openly stated that the company was in a "zombie zone." Metaplanet was originally a chain of budget hotels. According to the reserves of Solana, Classover / Kidz AI also fit into this category perfectly.

These days, the hype around encrypted transactions has cooled down, and a new buzzword has emerged: Robotaxi.

Elon Musk has spent seven years telling people that Tesla would make its own money; yet now, he expects the buyers of these vehicles to bear a significant capital risk, while Tesla itself is not willing to take on those risks. The fact that the first company to place an order was a school that teaches children programming, with a market value of two million dollars and which was still a Solana financial firm just a year ago, speaks volumes about the kind of people who are attracted to this proposition.

If Tesla's Robotaxi truly has profitability, Tesla would deploy it themselves instead of selling the cars to third parties to reap the profits. Only zombie companies like Kidz AI fail to see this, or they deliberately ignore it in order to boost their stock prices.
