The President and CEO of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Mark Tillinger, stated: "The commitment from Oracle is a lifeline for the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the communities we serve. The collaboration with Oracle allows us to bring musicians and music back to the stage, and it also gives us the momentum to move towards a stronger and more sustainable long-term future. We are deeply grateful for Oracle's trust in the Nashville Symphony Orchestra."
Nashville Mayor Freddie O said, "It is an extraordinary comfort to welcome a new corporate partner to join Nashville's arts and philanthropy efforts. The generosity of Oracle ensures that the upcoming concert season will not be canceled. For many years, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra has provided wonderful performances for music lovers—including myself—and it is inspiring to see the measures taken by its new leadership to ensure that this continues in the coming years."
This collaboration has enabled the symphony orchestra to resume its 2026-27 season, as well as to reinstate full-time employees and all orchestra members who were scheduled to take a break on October 18 due to financial emergencies.
Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk stated: "Nashville is a city that understands how music can bring people together. We are part of this community and also recognize how important such cultural institutions are to the residents of Nashville. As Oracle builds a new headquarters on the east bank of Nashville, we are willing to help address the issues faced by the community and ensure that Nashville continues to be a vibrant place for living and working for generations to come."
