News from the IT community on October 6th: Technology media MacRumors reported today (October 6th) that Apple is expected to launch several new products in two waves this month (October 2026). The first wave will focus on smart home products, while the second wave will feature the Mac series, with the launch scheduled for the last week of October.

IT previously cited a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman ( Mark Gurman ), stating that Apple is expected to release its first smart home hub ( Home Hub ), Apple TV 4K (fourth generation), and other products on October 13.

The latest news suggests that Apple may release another batch of new products in the last week of October (from Monday, October 26th, to Saturday, October 31st), with an expected focus on the Mac series of products.

In terms of products, the star is Apple's first touch MacBook. Current leaks suggest that this product may be named “MacBook Ultra” once it hits the market, and it will feature a OLED display screen as well as a thinner and more lightweight design.

Apple may also release an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M6 chip, as well as a new iMac equipped with the M6 chip.

Apple has previously announced that the high-end Mac Studio model, equipped with a M5 Ultra chip and 512GB of memory, will be available in late October. This product may overlap with the release schedule of the Mac new product in the last week of October.

The new iPad and mini are also expected to be unveiled in October. Relevant information indicates that these products may be equipped with a OLED display, a A20 Pro chip, a front-facing camera mounted horizontally, and a redesigned speaker system.
