MTCM Securitization Architects Announces the Launch of Talea DRN (Dual-track Securities), a Luxembourg-securitized bond that can be issued in two forms within the same audited segregated asset pool: traditional securities with the ISIN code and on-chain tokens. The company states that both forms represent the same bond, the same collateral, and equal rights. Investors can switch between the holding formats without changing the bond's currency or legal rights, and they can subscribe using fiat currency, cryptocurrencies, or stablecoins.

MTCM Launches Talea DRN: A Private Market Bond That Connects Traditional and Digital Markets, with Bank Frick as Partner

Talea DRN allows the structural designers to issue a single bond, which can also exist in the form of ISIN code and tokens. Both forms are completely interchangeable, and only one audit is required. Bank Frick, a pioneer in European blockchain banking, is a digital asset partner of MTCM.

Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, Balzers, October 6, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Today, we are launching Talea DRN ( Dual - Rail Note, a dual-track instrument). This is a type of Luxembourg securitized bond that is issued in two forms from the same audited segregated asset pool: one is a traditional security with the code ISIN and settled through Clearstream / Euroclear; the other is a digital token stored in investors' wallets. Both represent the same bond, the same collateral, and the same rights.

Operation Method

This is not two different tools, but rather two forms of the same tool. This token is neither a synthetic replica nor a parallel tool: MTCM does not tokenize an existing security; instead, it directly represents the bond itself as a token on the blockchain, and is fully interchangeable with the ISIN format. Investors can switch between holding formats without changing the currency of the bond or its legal rights, and can subscribe using fiat currency, cryptocurrencies, or stablecoins.

For structural designers

Structural designers no longer have to choose between traditional issuance and tokenized issuance. A single Talea DRN issuance can reach banks and institutional investors through Clearstream / Euroclear, as well as international investors and digitally native investors on the blockchain, and can be deposited into the wallets of their choice.

Origin of the Name

In Latin, “Talea” means stick or twig, and the English word “tally” originates from this. For centuries, debts were recorded on “notched wooden sticks”; that is, a stick would be split in half: one half belonged to the creditor and the other half to the debtor. “Talea DRN” draws upon this concept: one bond, two forms, one right.

MTCM, the Group Managing Partner and CEO of Pedro Herranz, stated: "Investors should not be forced to make a choice between the systems they trust and the technology they desire. Talea DRN offers them two forms of the same bond: traditional settlement and custody, or the speed and coverage of digitalization. For those responsible for the structural design, this means a broader base of investors."

Bank Frick, the head of Capital Market Solutions, stated: "We place great importance on our collaboration with MTCM. By combining their expertise in securitization with our experience in capital markets and digital assets, we provide support to issuers that operate in both traditional and digital infrastructure sectors."

The company stated that each segregated asset pool possesses independently isolated assets, which allows for protection from bankruptcy risks, and is subject to independent audits in accordance with Luxembourg's securitization laws. This provides the structuring parties with a wider range of distribution channels and also enables investors from all over the world to participate.
