Miami, October 8th / PRNewswire / -- Innovative Eyewear, Inc. ("Innovative Eyewear" or "the Company") (Nasdaq: LUCY; LUCYW), a company that develops and manufactures smart glasses under the brands __BJWKEEP_00011®, __BJWKEEP_00003®, __BJWKEEP_00012®, __BJWKEEP_00004®, and __BJWKEEP_00013®, announced the launch of the __BJWKEEP_00005™ smart glasses series. The company stated that Lucyd Aero offers the fashionable design, weight, and cost of traditional glasses, while also being equipped with complete AI and communication functions.

Lucyd Aero is a new series of smart glasses launched by the Lucyd brand under Innovative Eyewear. The company claims that this series of frames has the following features and believes that this will make it the most disruptive and exciting series to date:

  • The weight of all frames in this series ranges between 1 to 1.2 ounces, making it one of the lightest smart glasses series among current American suppliers. The Aero Lark model is the lightest, weighing only 1 ounce (28 grams), which is lighter than most other smart glasses on the American market and comparable to many traditional frames. Weight is an indicator of glasses comfort, so the company believes this is also their most comfortable series to date, suitable for wearing throughout the day.
  • This series of frames is the first Lucyd series to feature no visible buttons, switches, or external indicator lights, and its appearance is almost indistinguishable from that of ordinary glasses. Two high-response, invisible touchpads allow users to control the frames. The company believes that this understated design is an important step towards making smart glasses more commonplace in the eyewear industry and in everyday use.
  • These glasses do not come with cameras; they are not in a constant monitoring state like some other brands. They can only be activated through a touchpad, providing a privacy-protecting experience.
  • After connecting to Lucyd, multiple functions can be utilized, including free private AI features that allow hands-free access to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini; both public and private Walkie functions; customized Newscasts; as well as a powerful translation function that can be used both locally and during calls.
  • The recommended retail price for this series of frames is $149, which is affordable for almost everyone who wears glasses.

Innovative Eyewear CEO Harrison Gross stated: "Our Lucyd Aero series brings the adoption of smart glasses to the mass market within reach. The Lucyd team has for the first time completely eliminated all the costs associated with switching from traditional glasses to smart glasses. Lucyd Aero This is truly an extraordinary frame, as it looks very ordinary; we believe that no smart glasses before this have come close to the appearance and wearing experience of traditional glasses, while also providing rich intelligent features such as calls, on-demand news, and instant AI access. We believe that the future of glasses is intelligent, and now I can say that the future of smart glasses has arrived: we have smart frames that truly offer a end-to-end upgrade from traditional glasses, without sacrificing style, comfort, price, or privacy. There is no longer any valid reason to buy traditional glasses; Lucyd Aero once it hits the market, it will be able to do even more in the same package."

Dibby Bartlett, a company director and former president of the American Optometric Association, stated: "Whether the fit is proper and whether it is comfortable determines whether a patient will actually wear glasses all day long. With the help of Lucyd Aero, the smart frames launched by our company can compete with traditional glasses in terms of weight and appearance. I believe this eliminates one of the biggest obstacles optometrists face when introducing smart glasses to patients. This is exactly the type of product that the eyewear industry has been waiting for."

The Aero series is now available on the market and is exclusively sold at Lucyd.co.
