- Video game mod creators are combining classic games to create interesting, quirky, and bizarre mash-ups that have quickly become popular on social media.
- Players are using swords from "Minecraft" to fight Boss in "Elden Ring," skating on maps from "Call of Duty," and even navigating through Gotham City as Spider-Man.
- All of this is possible because players use AI proxies based on Claude, and they complete the mixing of mods within a few hours in a manner that involves vibe and coding.
Social media has been flooded with various bizarre video game mods, which combine game titles that one would never expect to appear together. Some people are driving Mario Kart vehicles in Call of Duty: Zombies, others are fighting with Minecraft characters in Elden Ring, and there are even those who navigate Batman's Gotham City as Spider-Man.
All of this is thanks to players using the Claude AI proxy to start from scratch with mods such as vibe and code. According to a widely circulated GitHub guide, the game uses a combination of passthrough and mod, which allows both games to run simultaneously. One of the games is responsible for managing the world, while the other provides the gameplay elements—namely movement and combat.
"Vibe coding" requires users to tell the AI model what they want, to test the results, and to provide feedback, while all the actual coding work is handed over to the AI model to complete. This GitHub guide states that merging "Elden Ring" and "Spider-Man" took about three to four hours, but it also reminds that the initial results are often rather rough.
Some players have stated that this is "one of the coolest things I’ve seen in over a decade of gaming career," and they claim it marks the beginning of a "gaming renaissance." Below are some of the most popular AI video game mod mixing examples.
Skateboarding in "Call of Duty"
One of the earliest popular mash-ups was combining the cult classic game “Skate” with “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” allowing players to skate on their favorite maps.
"Imagine using this to hit trick shot. We'll be seeing a video clip soon, just a moment," wrote one X user. Another user said, "This would be the coolest thing to happen in Call of Duty."
AI Hackers brought skateboards into "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2"! 🚨
This is just too outrageous.

"Minecraft" Meets "Elden Ring"
Perhaps the most popular combination among all video game fusions is putting "Minecraft" into "Elden Ring."
With this mod, you can not only use Minecraft weapons and teleport with ender pearls, but also summon 1600 Minecraft items, build complete and functional redstone mechanisms, and even enter creative mode. Not to mention, you can generate creatures using eggs, which means that zombies can fight for you against Melania, the iconic Boss of Elden Ring.
If you're tired of the options in "Minecraft," this mod also allows you to add the firearms from "Call of Duty: Black Ops," so you can quickly switch between weapons from "Minecraft" and "Call of Duty" during battles.
Regrettably, the author of this module, Toby Jacobs, has not yet released it to the public. He stated that he is open to making it public, but since the module was developed for Mac, he still needs to create a Windows version as well.

Spider-Man appears in Batman's hometown
In one of the most absurd cases of copyright mash-ups, Marvel’s Spider-Man takes advantage of another popular mod to navigate around Batman’s Gotham City.
"Marvel and DC are now friends," wrote one X user. The mod author joked in response, "Just wait until I receive DMCA."

Hit villagers in "Minecraft" with trick shot
A mod creator added weapons from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" to the "Minecraft" world and began using the iconic Intervention sniper rifle to shoot at villagers trick shot.
These villagers didn't pose much of a threat, as the player managed to achieve 25 consecutive kills and then called in a tactical nuclear bomb. That's right, this is all within the world of "Minecraft."

"Mario Kart" joins the zombies mode of "Call of Duty: World War"
Finally, players have successfully incorporated "Mario Kart" into the zombie mode of "Call of Duty: World War." Players can use bananas to trip zombies and then drive over them to kill them.

"We actually had 'Mario Kart' from the 'World War' zombie mode before 'GTA 6'," joked one X user. Another exclaimed, "What on earth is going on here?" Now you know.
