On October 10th, according to a report from technology media MacRumors, Apple updated its list of outdated products, adding the 2017 model of the initial Apple TV 4K to this list. This could affect future repairs for this product, and users may also find it more difficult to obtain replacement parts for repairs.
IT Note: According to the official documentation, outdated products refer to those that have been discontinued by Apple for more than 5 years but less than 7 years.

The 2017 model Apple TV 4K is Apple's first device to support 4K video. It is equipped with a A10X Fusion chip, available in 32GB and 64GB versions, and supports HDMI 2.0a. It can output 4K, Dolby Vision, and HDR10. The device also comes with gigabit Ethernet and dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
This device comes with the first-generation Siri Remote, which features a glass touch surface. Apple abandoned this design starting from the second-generation Apple TV 4K model.

The first-generation devices do not support HDMI ARC or eARC. The article explains that eARC can transmit audio from other devices connected to a compatible TV to Apple TV in 4K format, which can then be played by the audio devices connected to it.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman ( Mark Gurman ), Apple is set to hold a "Welcome Home" event on October 13th, where it is expected to release the Apple TV 4K (fourth generation) products.
