IT News on October 10th, based on comprehensive reports from local media BenchLife.info and content shared by insider @hongxing2020, NVIDIA will discontinue the production of the GeForce RTX 5090/5090 D v2 while also making adjustments to the GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card.

NVIDIA Plans to discontinue the production of the existing GeForce RTX 5080 model with 16GB of video memory, and instead launch a version with 24GB of video memory. The new model is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2027. AIC Partners are expected to receive the corresponding development materials in the near future.
If nothing goes wrong, the GeForce RTX 5080 24GB model will be equipped with 8 x 24GB (3GB) GDDR7 DRAM Die memory modules. It is still unclear whether it will improve the effective memory bandwidth and overall power consumption of the card, similar to the previously leaked SUPER variant.
