Sofia, Bulgaria, October 12, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Fibank (First Investment Bank) and Bitpanda GmbH have reached a strategic cooperation agreement. Under this cooperation, Fibank customers will be able to directly access high-quality crypto asset services provided by Bitpanda GmbH, an encrypted asset service provider based in Austria with complete licenses, through the My Fibank mobile application.

Through this collaboration, Fibank has become the first bank in Bulgaria to offer customers seamless integrated services for trading encrypted assets. The original text states that these assets, as digital products, differ from traditional deposits and financial instruments in that they do not provide any guarantees or compensation plans. Therefore, customers are advised to fully understand their unique characteristics and inherent risks.

After completing a simple application process and obtaining approval, Fibank customers will be able to use a full set of cryptocurrency asset services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through the Bitpanda interface embedded within My Fibank. The minimum investment amount is only 1 euro. This technological integration allows bank customers to view, manage, and optimize their digital assets as well as their traditional financial portfolios within the same application.

Fibank CEO Nikola Bakalov stated: "Customers' financial habits are changing rapidly, and it is crucial for My Fibank to keep up with these changes and continue to innovate. Cooperation with Bitpanda represents the natural next step in the development of this application as a digital platform, allowing customers to conveniently utilize an increasingly wide range of financial solutions. For us, it is particularly important that this new opportunity is realized with the support of a mature European technology partner and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements."

Crypto asset services will be provided by Bitpanda. Whether these services can be utilized will depend on whether potential customers are accepted by Bitpanda, as well as the terms and standards applicable to the company. The integration of Bitpanda infrastructure complements the existing features of My Fibank and marks a further step forward for My Fibank towards a comprehensive digital finance environment, providing a unified mobile access point for banking, savings, and investment solutions.

Bitpanda Enterprise Global Head Nadeem Ladki stated: "Digital assets are becoming a part of mainstream finance, and banks play a central role in this transformation. At Bitpanda Enterprise, we provide the necessary infrastructure and technology. In collaboration with Fibank, we are putting this into practice in Bulgaria, bringing crypto assets to over 1 million customers through a banking experience that they are already familiar with and trust."

On the occasion of the collaboration between Fibank and Bitpanda, an increasing number of European banks are seeking sustainable solutions that comply with regulatory requirements to meet the growing demand for digital asset transactions. In Bulgaria and broader regions, such services are still limited, which has made Fibank the first in Bulgaria and one of the pioneers among EU credit institutions to provide customers with direct access to the Bitpanda user interface through its digital channels, enabling customers to utilize the encrypted asset services of Bitpanda.
