XDC Network Announces the Selection of Concordium as Its Exclusive Authentication Provider for the AI Proxy Payment Market XDC AI. According to the announcement, verified AI proxies will receive an on-chain verification badge to prove that they represent verified individuals or enterprises. Additionally, the personal information of the owners will remain confidential by default. The cooperation between the two parties also includes a revenue sharing model for each proxy verification, as well as the network covering related fees.

- XDC Network selects Concordium to verify the owner of the AI proxy.

Verified proxies will receive on-chain badges, while personal data remains private.

This cooperation also includes revenue sharing and the co-partners paying network fees on behalf of the other party.

XDC Network has selected Concordium as the exclusive authentication provider for XDC AI. XDC AI serves as its agent payment market. This move is aimed at enhancing the accountability of artificial intelligence agents that execute financial transactions.

According to information published on October 14, 2026, this integration will enable the AI agents on XDC AI to obtain on-chain verification badges, confirming that they are associated with verified individuals or enterprises. However, the identities of the owners will not be publicly disclosed.

XDC Network is a Layer-1 blockchain that focuses on payments, trade financing, and real-world assets.

Launched in July 2026, XDC AI allows AI to use unmanaged wallets on its behalf, to discover services through the x402 payment standards, and to make payments using USDC.

This integration adds a new set of authentication mechanisms, with the aim of helping to determine who is responsible for a particular agent before a company or institution allows that agent to execute transactions.

Concordium introduces proven ownership on behalf of AI.

Under the new system, proxy owners can complete authentication through Concordium Wallet.

This process includes submitting a passport and completing a liveness detection performed by an independent identity provider.

Subsequently, the owner associated their XDC wallet through two signatures that did not transfer any funds, and registered their agent.

Thereafter, Concordium will issue a publicly verifiable badge, while personal information will remain off-chain.

According to the announcement, identity disclosure requires a court order and is carried out jointly by independent privacy guardians.

XDC Network Co-founder Atul Khekade stated that this integration addresses the need for institutions to identify the responsible entities behind AI before entrusting them with the execution of financial transactions.

He added that this verification system enables developers to establish accountability mechanisms without having to put personal information on the blockchain.

Concordium CEO Boris Bohrer - Bilowitzki indicates that merely having the capability to make payments does not imply who should be responsible for the actions of a certain agent.

He said that this collaboration combines the trading infrastructure of XDC with the verification of individuals or enterprises behind the participating agents.

XDC becomes the first fully network-integrated object of Concordium

Concordium has previously supported AI proxy verification on Ethereum and Solana, with XDC becoming its first full-network integration target.

Both companies stated that agents can retain their existing XDC wallets, code, and operational methods, while using Concordium for authentication.

This means that it is possible to add this layer of identity without the need to replace existing wallets or operational infrastructure.

The cooperation between the two parties also includes a revenue sharing for each proxy verification. Each verified proxy will create an Concordium account associated with the verified owner.

Network fees will be paid on behalf of the developer by the partner, therefore developers do not need to hold the CCD tokens in order to use this verification service.

This arrangement is aimed at making it easier for developers to use the verification services, while also providing an additional accountability mechanism for the AI proxies operating in that market.

However, the announcement did not specify the financial terms of the revenue-sharing agreement, nor did it disclose how many agents are expected to use the service.

The verification mechanism is designed to support institutions in adopting...

As this integration is launched, the AI agent is gradually gaining the ability to discover services and execute transactions with less direct human involvement.

In this scenario, for organizations assessing whether to grant certain financial authority to an agent, identifying which individual or entity should be responsible for that agent may be an important consideration.

The market for XDC Network currently supports AI agents to use USDC for payments.

The verification layer for Concordium has added a new method that allows for the establishment of a connection between an agent and a verified owner, while still maintaining the default protection of the owner's personal information privacy.

Two companies stated that proxy verification is now available through the XDC AI website, while developer documentation is provided through their technical documentation portal.

This integration has expanded the coverage of Concordium across various blockchain networks and also added a mechanism for XDC AI users to verify proxy ownership.

Its broader adoption will depend on how developers and institutions integrate authentication into their proxy-based payment workflows.
