News from the home of IT on October 21st: Salesforce will acquire Braze for a transaction valued at approximately $5.66 billion. With this set of tools that enable brands to send personalized messages and respond in real-time to customer behavior, Salesforce will strengthen its artificial intelligence business layout.

After the transaction was announced, the stock price of Braze rose by over 50% on Tuesday local time.
Investors are concerned that the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence technology will weaken the market demand for traditional software. This acquisition is the latest move by Salesforce to accelerate its own AI transformation.
Braze Shareholders will receive $47.50 in cash per share, which is approximately 58.1% above the closing price of the stock on the previous trading day.
Braze serves approximately 2,770 clients, including Canva, Instacart, and Venmo. Its AI tool can help marketers optimize content, promotional plans, and distribution channels.
Xie Boerol ( Shay Boloor ), the chief market strategist at Futurum Securities ( Futurum Equities ), stated that Salesforce essentially acquired the "real-time interaction layer that the marketing business has always lacked in the past".
This customer relationship management software service provider expects that the transaction will be completed in fiscal year 2028 and states that this acquisition will not change its performance expectations for fiscal year 2027.
Salesforce has been continuously strengthening its product layout in the AI sector. Earlier this year, it acquired the AI intelligent platform for $3.6 billion, and last year, it completed a deal to acquire Informatica for $8 billion.
If Salesforce, headquartered in San Francisco, terminates the transaction, it will need to pay a termination fee of $300 million; whereas if Braze abandons this transaction, it will need to pay $191.4 million.
JPMorgan Securities ( J.P . Morgan Securities ) serves as the exclusive financial advisor for Salesforce, while Qatalyst Partners provides advisory services for Braze.
