Shenzhen, China, October 22, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Shenghong Co., Ltd. ( SINEXCEL , 300693. SZ ) announced that its StellaON 1250K/1575K energy storage converter system ( PCS ) has obtained TÜV V S unit certification, confirming compliance with German VDE-AR-N standards 4110, 4120, and 4130. This certification covers medium voltage, high voltage, and ultra-high voltage grid connections, and supports the StellaON application in utility-grade battery energy storage projects at different grid levels.
TÜ V S ÜD evaluated the performance of the converter during grid failures, its active and reactive power control capabilities, as well as its response to frequency changes. The certification process incorporated FGW TR3 tests, as well as verification using the TR4 simulation model under the TR8 project. Engineers can use the verified DIgSILENT PowerFactory model to assess the converter's operation within a complete energy storage station.
These three standards cover energy storage stations from the distribution network to the connection of the transmission system. Among them, VDE-AR-N 4130 is applicable to power grids of 220 kilovolts and above, and its grid connection requirements involve the stability of a larger range of power systems.
StellaON has a black-start capability of 1250K/1575K, with a full-load efficiency of up to 98.5%. This product does not require derating even at an ambient temperature of up to 55°C, and can still maintain its rated output. It is capable of outputting 1.5 times the rated power for up to 60 seconds. Variable-speed cooling keeps the noise level at a minimum of 65 decibels, providing greater flexibility when device placement is restricted by acoustic requirements.
For developers and EPC contractors, this certification is helpful for the selection of PCS and provides support for the preparation of technical specifications for the corresponding grid connection voltage. This certification also serves as a basis for power station certification and grid connection approval. However, the design of specific projects and grid requirements still need to undergo separate power station-level evaluations.
StellaON indicates that it has completed EU certification, as well as national-level certifications in markets such as Germany, Poland, and Romania. Currently, this product has been included in the deployment lists of Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. The certification processes for the United States, Spain, Austria, and Chile are underway and are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.
StellaON states that it has more than 15 projects in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa that are in the system integration, delivery, or field commissioning phase. Orders for the first half of 2026 have already exceeded 500 MW. PCS has also been validated in countries and regions such as Vietnam and Myanmar, and is suitable for extreme high-temperature and high-humidity environments as well as island microgrid applications.
