With a 644% increase in revenue and over 4,200 supported applications worldwide, Apera AI is leveraging its out-of-the-box intelligent units VuePod and augmented reality applications ForgeAR to transition visual guidance robots from custom projects to scalable products.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, October 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Apera AI has been selected for Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ 2026 awards program due to its rapid growth, entrepreneurial spirit, and bold innovation. This is the second consecutive year that this visual guidance robotics company has made it onto the list; in 2025, it ranked 10th.

Apera AI CEO Sina Afrooze stated that the company's strong growth is attributed to its patented 4D Vision technology, as well as a strategic shift from custom integration projects to ready-to-use products such as VuePod. Afrooze said, "Being recognized as one of Deloitte's Technology Fast Top 50 winners for the second consecutive year is thanks to our customers and partners who have trusted us to deploy 4D Vision technology in their factories. We are grateful to all manufacturers, integrators, and partners who have grown with us. Your feedback has helped shape VuePod, and your success guides everything we design."
The project selected the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Canada based on the highest revenue growth percentages over the past four years. Apera AI ranked 37th with a revenue growth rate of 644% between 2022 and 2025.
Deloitte National Technology Fast, co-leader of 50 projects, Brendan Cooper stated: "The 50 winners of 2026 Technology Fast reflect the creativity, resilience, and ambition that continuously define Canada's tech industry. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and recognize the tangible impact they have had in communities and markets across the country."
The Apera AI 4D Vision technology currently supports over 4,200 applications worldwide. This technology is adopted by six of the top ten global automotive OEM manufacturers, as well as by suppliers at the primary and secondary levels, in addition to pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and data center supply chain manufacturers. The growth of Apera is built on truly implemented solutions, rather than pilot projects, which has enabled the company to accumulate a deep understanding of the complex and unpredictable issues faced by robots in real production environments.
Apera AI has also obtained SOC and Type II compliance certifications, meeting the standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for service organizations, also known as SSAE 18. This independent audit was conducted by Prescient Security to confirm that Apera's security and data protection control measures are able to operate effectively over the long term. As 4D Vision technology is deployed in the production environments of global large manufacturers, this becomes increasingly important. The company states that this milestone reflects Apera's commitment to continuously protecting customer data and meeting the standards of manufacturing enterprises for automated partners.
VuePod: A visual guidance intelligent unit for picking items from boxes, ready to use out of the box
VuePod was launched at the Automate exhibition in June 2026. It integrates the experience Apera drawn from thousands of real production applications into a complete and independent intelligent unit for picking from boxes. This product is based on 4D Vision technology and was launched in collaboration with Ethos Automation. Each unit undergoes simulation verification according to the customer's part specifications before shipment. On-site installation only requires three steps: connection, calibration, and teaching the position – there is no need to write robot programs, nor is any expertise in visual systems required. Its goal is very clear: VuePod it represents the first step towards automated systems based on proxy-based physical AI; such systems should be as simple to train and install as training and installing a person.
Since all VuePod units share the same design, installation process, and support model, visual resources and robot programs can be reused, making the deployment speed for each new workstation faster than that of the previous one. This replicability has enabled visual guidance robots to transition from one-time integrations to large-scale deployments. As a result, automation is no longer a high-risk, single-project endeavor; rather, it has become a project that manufacturers can expand to multiple production lines and factories. This is particularly important as they face ongoing labor shortages, rising costs, and declining profit margins. Apera indicates that this approach also puts companies in a favorable position as they move from laboratories to factories with physical AI, embodied AI, and agent-based AI systems, as success in factories depends on the ability to solve real and complex problems on a large scale.

ForgeAR: Check in the factory before delivery. VuePod
Apera AI also brings its Forge platform directly into the factory, launching ForgeAR – a augmented reality application that can present pre-configured VuePod units in their actual size at their intended usage locations, including robots, fixtures, cameras, material bins, and safety systems. ForgeAR is designed to further bridge the gap between the digital world and the physical world, making the deployment of new automation solutions simpler and more intuitive. Factory managers, automation engineers, and integrators can walk around this unit to check the required clearances and confirm whether the robots can reach downstream equipment before constructing it. The latest version adds more than 10 new VuePod configurations, including a 3x3 foot material bin suitable for narrow spaces, as well as a dual-end effector tool for long parts.

Afrooze added, "Visual guidance robots have long been limited to custom projects, which have long design cycles and whose results are difficult to replicate. VuePod uses a proxy physical AI to autonomously plan and correct each picking operation. As a result, manufacturers can first deploy a verified unit, then ten more, and still achieve the same results. This is how the return on investment of automation increases with large-scale deployment, and how manufacturers can keep production lines running in the face of labor shortages."
To qualify for Deloitte’s Technology Fast Top 50 list, a company must have been in operation for at least four years, have revenue of at least $50,000 in 2022, and at least $5 million in 2025. The company must have its headquarters in Canada, possess proprietary technology, and allocate at least 5% of its total revenue to research and development activities conducted in Canada.
Deloitte’s co-head of 50 projects, Amanda Perran, stated: “This year’s winners have demonstrated what can be achieved when vision, talent, and innovation come together. They are tackling complex challenges, opening up new possibilities, and driving growth throughout Canada’s tech ecosystem. Their success inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs and helps Canada build a more connected, competitive, and innovative future.”
Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 award winners include listed and unlisted technology companies that are driving innovation in their respective industries. This program is conducted in parallel with Deloitte’s broader North American Technology Fast 500™ initiative, and the winners will automatically qualify for that list as well.
