News from the IT community on October 30th: Recently, several users in Hong Kong have reported that their credit cards have been fraudulently used by criminal gangs, and they have received text messages regarding deductions from their new Apple iPhone Duo /18 Pro credit cards issued by banks such as HSBC, Hang Seng, and Standard Chartered.
In response to this, HSBC issued a statement reminding consumers to pay close attention to bank notifications during the release of new smartphones and to regularly check their bank statements in order to stay vigilant and identify suspicious transactions.

HSBC states that if users discover any unauthorized transactions, they should immediately temporarily deactivate their card through HSBC App and contact the bank by calling the customer service hotline as soon as possible. Users can also, according to their personal needs, check and adjust their monthly online spending limits for credit cards/debit cards through App to reduce risks.
If a bank card has been fraudulently used, users can apply to HSBC for a refund of the related transactions (such as unauthorized transactions from a credit card/debit card) under the dispute transaction protection mechanism. HSBC will submit the case to the relevant card organization for processing and notify the customer of the dispute outcome.
