IT Home News on October 30th, AMD recently pushed AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.10.2 Optional (Optional Version) Graphics Card Driver. This update mainly focuses on fixing issues and does not introduce any new game support or performance optimizations.

Issue Fix

• Fix an occasional system shutdown issue when the Radeon RX 7600 series graphics cards are running "Eternal Legacy" ( Valor Mortis ).
• Fix an occasional driver timeout issue when the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards are running "Eternal Legacy".
• Fixed an issue where enabling or disabling other overlay layers, such as Xbox Game Bar, while having the AMD Software performance metrics overlay layer enabled, could occasionally cause some games to crash or the driver to time out.
• Fix an occasional system shutdown issue when the Ryzen AI MAX PRO 400 series processors run "Final Fantasy: Resonance" (FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE).
• Fixed an occasional issue where applications would freeze when using the Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards to run AMD FSR "Dead on Land 2: Above the Abyssal Shore" ( DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH ).
• Fix an issue where enabling FSR frame generation on Radeon RX series graphics cards in games may cause the system to crash or freeze when switching applications or overlay layers.
• Fixed the issue where applications occasionally crash when launching some Radeon graphics cards and Steam launchers.
• Fix an occasional driver timeout issue when the GPU plan ( HAGS ) is used to play videos on Windows systems with Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards with hardware acceleration enabled.
• Fixed the issue where applications crashed when gaming with Radeon RX series graphics cards under the Windows 10 system after uninstalling the driver software using AMD Cleanup Utility.
• Fix an issue where AMD Install Manager is unable to locate optional drivers when selecting the "Recommended + Optional" drive option.

Known Issues

• When the Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards are used to run "Blade of Shadow Zero" ( Phantom Blade Zero ), there may be visual damage to the sky and character hair. Officials recommend that affected users turn off the high-quality hair option in the game.
• When using the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards to run "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Remembrance Reset" ( Assassin 's Creed Black Flag Resynced ), there may be occasional application crashes or driver timeouts.
• Radeon RX When using the 5000 series graphics cards to run War Thunder, there may occasionally be driver timeouts. Officials recommend that affected users switch to the Adrenalin 26.9.1 driver.
• When some Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards are playing video on a secondary monitor, and at the same time FSR ultra-resolution, Radeon Anti - Lag are enabled, as well as in-game frame generation for playing "Cyberpunk 2077" (Cyberpunk 2077), there may be occasional crashes or driver timeouts. The official recommendation is to turn off in-game frame generation.
• When Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series processors are running "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" (Call of Duty : Modern Warfare Remastered), pressing Alt + Tab to switch in the game may result in no response.
• When using the Ryzen AI 9 400 series processors to launch "War Machines: Remastered" (Gears of War : Reloaded), a black screen may appear. The official recommendation is to switch the game display mode to windowed first, and then switch back to full screen.
• In some regions where access to HuggingFace and GitHub is not possible, installing the AI Bundle component may fail.
• After the Windows 10 system driver installation is complete, AMD intelligent access to video memory ( Smart Access Memory ) may be disabled.
• The Radeon RX 9000 series of graphics cards may experience black screen corruption when running "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered".

This driver is the optional version of Optional, designed for Windows 10-bit and Windows 64-bit systems. It covers a range of Radeon independent graphics cards as well as Ryzen processors with Radeon integrated graphics. Ordinary users can continue to use the recommended version of the driver, while those encountering the aforementioned issues can manually download this optional update.
