IT News on November 1st: According to a report by the automotive media Electrek from the day before yesterday, Tesla has now launched a new referral reward program in the United States. Car owners who refer friends to purchase vehicles will no longer receive a purchase reward, but instead get one month of access to the FSD Supervised Edition. If the referred person subsequently subscribes to FSD, the referrer can earn 1 month of free FSD or Tesla credits worth $99 (Note from IT Home: The current exchange rate is approximately 660.4 RMB).
It is reported that the "Referral Rewards" program terms of Tesla no longer include any provisions related to car purchase rewards. In other words, when purchasing a Tesla model using a friend's referral code, there will be no rewards given. Currently, buyers can only receive solar panel rewards; referrers, on the other hand, can earn rewards through solar products, first-time reservation test drives, and the brand-new FSD referral program.

However, Tesla has not officially announced this change yet, and the last update to the relevant page was on February 24, 2026. Therefore, we are still unclear as to when Tesla will remove the cars from the reward list.
For reference, Tesla last launched a car purchase incentive program in August 2024. Buyers who purchased Model S, Model X, Model Y, or Model through a referral code could receive a discount of $1,000 (approximately 6,671 RMB at current exchange rates); the referrer could earn 500 dollars (about 3,335 RMB) in credits. Over the past decade, Tesla has canceled and then re-launched this program several times.
