New York, November 3, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Bold Security Today, it was announced that the company has been selected for the 2027 Fortune Cyber 60 list. This list annually recognizes top cybersecurity startups that are not yet publicly traded, have not been acquired, and have not experienced any other major exits, and are supported by venture capital. Bold was selected in its first year of establishment, ranking in the early-stage category.

Over the past decade, data leakage prevention ( DLP ) has been widely criticized due to excessive noise and a false sense of security. Traditional DLP methods rely on pattern recognition, which can identify personal identification information ( PII ) and payment card industry data ( PCI ), but are unable to recognize source code, financial models, or board of directors documents. The patterns identified by these methods can also interfere with normal operations, often leading to teams being overwhelmed by numerous alerts and ultimately resulting in the disabling of the blocking functions. Tools that were originally intended for protection have become tools for detection instead.

Artificial intelligence has brought work back to terminal devices, to locally running desktop assistants and AI proxies, which are not within the monitoring scope of traditional DLP designs. Bold has restructured the terminal DLP around the locally running AI on each device. The small language models on each device can classify based on the meaning of data rather than patterns, understand the context of each operation, and immediately prevent or correct it as it occurs. The entire process does not require communication with the cloud, does not involve writing regular expression rules, and there will be no gaps in functionality when the device is offline.

Bold Security, Co-Founder and CEO, stated: "For many years, the industry has viewed the terminal as an outdated boundary and DLP as an inevitable evil that had to be tolerated. However, AI has put an end to these assumptions. Both individuals and AI agents can transfer sensitive data on devices faster than security teams, while DLP is often too cumbersome and inefficient. With the help of Bold, we see the terminal as a new point of risk and consider it the best place to address this issue. Being selected for Fortune Cyber 60 proves that both this problem and our solution have been recognized."

Bold was established in 2024 and made its public debut at the beginning of 2025. At that time, the company received an investment of 40 million US dollars from Bessemer Venture Partners, Picture Capital, and Red Dot Capital Partners. The company currently serves dozens of rapidly growing clients, including Tekion, HiBob, Cresta, and Shutterfly. The founder of Bold has previously founded two cybersecurity companies, Polyrize and SAM Seamless Network, which were acquired by Varonis and Qualcomm respectively.

Bessemer Venture Partners Partner Amit Karp states: "All security teams are aware that data leakage prevention (DLP) is a problem, but there are still not many companies willing to rethink the way it is done. Bold has made a real difference by using AI at the terminal level to understand sensitive data and prevent leaks without interfering with employees' work. This is also why we support this team."

The Fortune Cyber 60™ list is jointly launched by Fortune, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and AWS to honor 60 top cybersecurity startups that are not yet listed, have not been acquired, and have not experienced any other major exits. Lightspeed evaluates these startups based on hundreds of cybersecurity companies supported by venture capital, considering factors such as annual recurring revenue, year-over-year growth, and verified operational data. The list is divided into three phases, with 20 companies in each phase. The complete list can be viewed here.

The Next Intel? Wall Street's expectations for AMD are dangerously high; mediocre performance will likely lead to selling off
The trading sentiment for AI is cooling down, and the market has set higher expectations for AMD as its financial reports are about to be released. The article states that with the stock price having risen by approximately 118% this year and the valuation still being high, if AMD only delivers performance that meets expectations, it may not be enough to support the stock price. Investors are more hopeful to see significantly better-than-expected results and stronger performance guidance.
