Durham, North Carolina, USA, November 4th / PRNewswire / -- International Automation Association ( ISA ) – a leading professional association in automation – and the Predictive Health Management ( PHM ) Society – an international community that supports various industries and fields – have signed a technical cooperation agreement to advance their common goals.
Two organizations have agreed to plan and participate in each other's activities and to cooperate in standard-setting. As a standard-setting organization recognized by ANSI ( SDO ), ISA can identify existing ISA committees for participation by experts from PHM; in cases where both parties recognize overlapping technical fields, new standard-writing committees can also be established.
PHM has learned to organize conferences in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together original equipment manufacturers, technology companies, academic institutions, and public research and development organizations. The society also carries out professional development programs to create value for a broader PHM community.
ISA holds ISA Automation Summit & Expo as well as Operational Technology ( OT ) Cybersecurity Summit every year. At the same time, it develops widely used global standards and compliance assessment programs, certifies professionals, provides education and training, and publishes books and technical articles. The association also offers communication and career development programs for its members and customers worldwide.
ISA CEO Claire Fallon stated: "This collaboration brings together two groups that rely on reliable, data-driven insights in industrial systems. By learning to cooperate with PHM, we can connect our standards and certification expertise with their network of researchers and practitioners, which will benefit members on both sides."
PHM President Andrew Hess stated: "The PHM society is seeking technical partners that can create mutually beneficial value, and ISA's expertise in automation aligns highly with our goals. We look forward to collaborating on projects for service engineers, researchers, and organizations engaged in predictive health management."
