2026-07-30 18:54:55
According to CoinMeta, WEMIX issued an update on a security incident. On July 26th, the ownership of two smart contracts was transferred to unauthorized third parties. The attackers deployed malicious contracts and executed nine rounds of flash loans and swap transactions, resulting in an illegal issuance of 5.2255 million WEMIX $. This incident was not caused by an internal system intrusion or private key leakage; rather, it was due to the attackers exploiting vulnerabilities in the publicly available Dios and AMA smart contracts on the blockchain.
