According to CoinMeta, as reported by Galaxy Research, the total amount of venture capital invested in cryptocurrencies rebounded to $5.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026, representing a 31% increase from the previous quarter. A total of 384 transactions were involved. The growth in funds was driven by later-stage financings, while only 5 new cryptocurrency venture capital funds raised approximately $3.9 billion during the same period, making it the quarter with the fewest newly established funds since the fourth quarter of 2019.
