S& P Global Announces Acquisition of Blockchain Security Company OpenZeppelin

According to CoinMeta, S& P Global has signed an agreement to acquire blockchain security company OpenZeppelin. The open-source smart contract library under OpenZeppelin supports value transfers worth over $37 trillion and has undergone more than 900 security audits, identifying over 10,000 vulnerabilities. This acquisition is aimed at expanding S& P Global's capabilities in conducting on-chain technical risk assessments. OpenZeppelin will operate as an independent business unit, with the current manager continuing in his role and reporting to S& P Global's rating president, Yann Le Pallec. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
