Niklas G ö gge: Relying on AI to discover vulnerabilities is not a sustainable security strategy
2026-09-18 05:13:09
According to CoinMeta, Niklas G, one of the developers of Bitcoin Core, stated that vulnerabilities scanned using AI have reduced the cost of vulnerability discovery; attackers only need to spend a few hundred dollars to identify catastrophic vulnerabilities. Regarding Bitcoin Core, Project Loupe, Bitcoin Red Team and individual contributors have generated over 1000 reports, but no high-risk or severe vulnerabilities have been found yet. Gö gge believes that developers should build a testing infrastructure through automated testing, fuzz testing, and attribute-based testing. Key components have accumulated over 100 years of CPU fuzz testing and decades of Bitcoin node network simulation. (Source: Bitcoin News)
