According to CoinMeta, corporate treasuries have only purchased 5,900 bitcoins ( BTC ) in the past three months, indicating that the demand for bitcoins among listed companies remains weak. According to Glassnode data, this purchase volume is merely a fraction of what was bought during the same period last year. MicroStrategy, a company listed on NASDAQ, accounted for the majority of these purchases, including 4,603 BTC bought at the end of August. At current prices, these 5,900 bitcoins are worth approximately $451 million, which is not a small amount, but it seems insignificant when compared to the same period last year. Last year during the same time frame, corporate treasuries purchased over 100,000 bitcoins, with 89,000 of those purchases made in July alone. In contrast, the recent purchase of 5,900 bitcoins accounts for only 7% of the total purchases in July 2025.
