Wu Says Data Center: The BTC Option Implied Volatility Index dvol Reports 35.6, at the 2.8th Percentile in History

CoinMeta data: According to Wu's Data Center statistics, on September 18th, the implied volatility index dvol of BTC options was at 35.6, which is in the 2.8th percentile of history. Levels lower than this were mainly seen from July to September 2023 and from July to September 2025. In the following six months, BTC rose from 25,000 to 73,000, and then fell from 125,000 to 59,000 respectively. Currently, dvol has been in the 5th percentile since July 10th for over two months. At the same time, the premium of dvol is also in the extreme range: the realized volatility is 47.9, with a premium of -12.3, which corresponds to approximately the 4.6th percentile in history. There have been 93 instances in history where it was below this percentile, averaging about 16.9 times per year. The median change in price over the following 90 days is +20.5%, and the probability of an increase is about 87%.
